Which card next: Your next application in 2 questions

Updated July 2026. Free, no signup, nothing leaves your browser.

Two questions decide your next application. Nothing you pick leaves your browser. For the rules behind the advice, see the Chase 5/24 rule and the application order planner. The community version of this order is the churning flowchart.

Which card next?

How this works

The biggest constraint on card order is Chase’s 5/24 rule: Chase declines most applications once you hold 5 or more new cards from the past 24 months, and Chase points reach the most transfer partners. So while you are under 5/24, Chase cards usually come first; once you are over, you move to issuers that do not count 5/24. This tool applies that order to your goal. It names no specific offers, only the next sensible move and the guide that explains it.

Questions

Does this recommend a specific card or offer?

No. Offers change often, so the tool points you to the right issuer and strategy and links the guide. Check the issuer for the current offer.

What if I am not sure of my 5/24 count?

Run the 5/24 calculator first. Your count decides whether Chase is on the table.
