Three numbers tell you whether to apply now or wait. The score bands come from the credit score guide; the 5/24 logic from the Chase 5/24 rule. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.
How the verdict is built
The score bands are the ones in our credit score guide: 740 and above opens essentially every card including the strict Chase lineup, 700 to 740 is comfortable for most cards, 670 to 700 means start carefully and space applications out, and under 670 means build first. The 5/24 layer reflects that Chase declines most applications at 5 or more new cards in 24 months. The tool combines the two; it asserts no offers and stores nothing.
Questions
Which score should I enter?
Any recent FICO or VantageScore in the 300 to 850 range is fine for a rough read. Issuers pull different versions, so treat the result as a guide, not a guarantee.
Does a high score guarantee approval?
No. Score is one input. Issuers also weigh income, recent applications, and their own velocity rules. See the credit score guide for what else matters.
